The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was founded on April 6th, 1830. While it is not canonical, some Mormons including myself believe this happened on Jesus’s Birthday. The Christmas date just makes less and less sense to me as time goes on. Why were shepards in the field with their flocks in the middle of the night at the beginning of winter? Seems more likely that Solstice was Christianized. Stolen from the pagans. Some of my best friends are pagans. Neither they nor I need a December 25th mass. The Church doesn’t do any services on Christmas unless it falls on a Sunday. Then it’s just a regular Sacrament Meeting with a Jesus’s Birthday theme. So April 6th. Stay Awesome! Stay Weird! Or Stay Away!
