Latter Day Sinner

Alex had an assessment recently. He is doing more things on his own so he needs less help from me. It is good for him that he is becoming more functional. On the other hand my hours have been cut again. That is the nature of the beast. Ben is a much more difficult adult child so his hours stay the same or sometimes even go up. But Alex learns to take care of himself more and so he needs me to take care of him less. That’s the way parenting is supposed to go so I should be more celebratory than I am. Life is a series of tradeoffs and this one is for the best.
