Latter Day Sinner

One of the lies I was told as a child is that we are in late stage capitalism. It’s been fifty years since the system was about to collapse. It’s coming soon and the people who believe it won’t hear otherwise. It comes from an older strain that communism is inevitable. It’s been almost a hundred and eighty years since that prediction was forced into the world. But if you ask a communist they’ll probably tell you that real communism has never been tried. It’s coming soon and the people who believe it won’t hear otherwise. It’s wishful thinking that the order of the world will be erased and replaced with one that believers will like more. The irony that Jesus Christ’s second coming is two thousand years late has not been lost on me. He’s coming soon and the people who believe it won’t hear otherwise.
