There’s a Barry Manilow song about a housewife named Sandra. She wanted to be like her mother but if she hadn’t done it as soon as she did she might have had time for herself. Stephanie wasn’t an ordinary housewife like Sandra, but she never got to be on her own until now. Sandra also doesn’t leave her husband at the end of the song. Stephanie has left me and is probably never coming back. The song hit harder today than it usually does. Everything is hitting harder.
