I was arguing about Late Stage Capitalism with Stephanie while listening to Amy Grant. Christian music has become very desperate and apocalyptic. The imminent return of Jesus feels about as unlikely to me as a complete economic collapse. I grew up hearing about both. It’s been 50 years and neither has happened yet. I was also warned about total nuclear annihilation. That one seems more likely considering that the commies still have nukes and the Ayatollahs are trying to get them. All things considered I hope you understand why I laugh at two degrees of warming in the next hundred years and large language models achieving sentience soon.
