Latter Day Sinner

Last night I stayed up later than I should have playing a video game. I turned it off at about 11:30 and was settled into bed by midnight. But Magic wanted to be near me once I was settled. She jumped up on the dresser next to my bed and groomed herself. As she spread out to do this she knocked my glasses off the dresser. I retrieved them from behind the bed, put them back, and shooed her out of the way. She went to the foot of the bed and resumed grooming herself next to my legs. After a while she stood up, hopped over my legs and lay back down on the other side of the lower bed. She rotated between those three positions until about 2 am. At that point I got up and fed her and Ether. I was able to fall asleep before she came back.

This morning I went to church. I was tired and had trouble concentrating, but I need to be there, so I did my best. After church I came home and discussed lunch with Stephanie. She baked a ready made tray of enchiladas and I took a cat nap. We ate and I lay back down until it was time for her to leave. Still tired I lay back down one more time a little later. Ether wasn’t having that. He wanted my attention and lay down on my chest to get it. With any luck they will let me sleep tonight. It’s good to be needed, I love them, but needs and love make me tired.
