Eye of the Hurricane

I went to church today and it was good. It’s easier to know I am available for it when Stephanie is sleeping in her own bed. But I also know that this is only temporary and that I am in the eye of the hurricane. The divorce court date is exactly a month from now and we still have at least one irreconcilable difference. We have the rental car for a few more days. Our next paychecks come soon and she has to decide whether she is moving right back out. She and I and Alex and Ben went for a walk to the park but it started raining almost as soon as we got there. I haven’t made it through the rain yet, but Barry Manilow taught me how.

  1. We still have the original two irreconcilable differences. You don’t believe I was abused in the manner I reported to the police. You don’t believe you abused me when you spat in my face and pushed me into the fridge.

But since you did so, we’ve come up with more reasons to be irreconcilable, not fewer. None of our differences have been reconciled and they probably never will be.

      1. I will and that’s what you can’t reconcile with. I’m worth being whether you can stand me or not.
